Union Education Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal tweeted on August 18 that if anyone had questions about the National Education Policy 2020, they can tweet their queries with the hashtag #NEPTransforming India and he and his ministry will dedicate a day to clarify their doubts. But the students across the country took this opportunity to ask him about NEET and the hashtag #PostponeJEEAndNEET filled his comments section.

The Minister had invited all the concerned parties to join the discussion in his post on the microblogging site. "Dear students, teachers, and parents! Do you have any question related to #NEP2020? Share them with me using #NEPTransformingIndia. I and the ministry will be dedicating 1 full day to address your concerns. Looking forward to your queries," he wrote.

While there were a few tweets that asked general questions about the NEP, most of the comments asked the Ministry of Education to postpone the medical and engineering entrance exams. "No parent is worried about the policy now. They are worried about their kids' lives. Would you care to address the issue at hand?" asked a netizen.

The students and parents have been tweeting to the minister about their concerns regarding the NEET and JEE exams and there are over two thousand connects and retweets to the post. "I am a sincere NEET aspirant. I am well prepared for the exam but there is no mode of transportation to reach the exam centre. So my humble request is to please postpone the #NEET exam," wrote a user called Raghav Gupta.
