Two days left for NLAT UG 2020: Here is everything you need to know

After the CLAT 2020 exams were delayed due to the pandemic, the National Law School University India (NLSIU) announced that they will be conducting their own entrance exams for UG and PG Students for this academic year. In a notice published last week, the University also mentioned they will not be considering the CLAT exam scores for 2020. 

With the last date for exams being September 10 and the exams to be held on September 12, here are some important things you must know if you are attending NLAT UG 2020 exams. 

The NLAT UG 2020 will be conducted into three batches on September 12, 2020. Batch 1:

Reporting time: 12:00 pm
Exam Start time: 12:30 pm

Batch 2:
Reporting time: 1.45 pm
Exam Start time: 2.15 pm

Batch 3:
Reporting time: 3:30 pm
Exam Start time: 4:00 pm

Students will be informed of their batch 24 hours before the exam. 

In the case of candidates with disabilities, 15 minutes extra will be given during the exams. 

With a view to give a clear picture to the students about NLAT exams 2020, the NLSIU is conducting mock tests from September 9 to September 12. The candidates can attempt the mock test as many times as they want to and these mock exams will be conducted online and they will not be proctored. However, the NLAT will be proctored using a combination of both Artificial Intelligence-based proctoring, as well as human proctoring. Hence there is no chance for the candidates to cheat during the exams. 

Students who are writing the NLAT exams will be able to access simulation test at the same time as their exam batch for NLAT Exams. 

Candidates are allowed to use only two blank A4 size sheets and a blue ball pen for rough work during the test. You are not supposed to eat or consume anything during the exam. Only one water bottle is allowed. 

Students cannot revisit the questions and it is decided In the interest of stopping malpractice. There is a negative marking of -0.50 for a wrong answer and -2.50 marks for an unanswered question.
