UoH elections: ASA-SFI-DSU-TSF alliance win all posts by a landslide, Abhishek Nandan new Students Union President

Not just the office bearer's posts, all the GSCASH posts also went to the members of the winning alliance. The ABVP came second but the margins were quite wide for most posts

The ASA-SFI-DSU-TSF alliance swept the University of Hyderabad Students Union elections by staggering margins for all the six office bearing posts.The ABVP-OBCF-SLVD alliance that won the elections last year came nowhere close to securing the posts this time around.
The student community came out in large numbers to participate in the voting process on September 26 and after an intense session of counting, the ASA-SFI-DSU-TSA alliance were declared winners. SFI's Abhishek Nandan won the President's post with 2205 votes, almost 1000 votes ahead of ABVP's Phani Kumar. M Sree Charan, standing for the Vice President's post won with 1843 votes beating ABVP's Leela Krishna who managed 1164 votes.
ASA's Gopi Swamy also beat his opponent from ABVP by almost a 1000 votes more, he garnered 2029 votes in total. Dhirendra Sahoo from ABVP got 1163 votes from the students. TSF's Rathod Pradeep standing for the joint secretary post won by one of the highest margins, he secured 2040 votes while Kumar Ramavath from the ABVP got 1124 votes.
Priyanka Badrasetty also from the SA-SFI alliance took home the post with 1898 votes while her ABVP competition, Reona Shinam managed 10105 votes. In third place was AISA' Garvita SIngh with 788 votes. The winning alliance's Sohel Ahamed had a sweeping victory with 1776 votes as well.
The GSCASH winners are ASA's Kalaivani J for the Post Graduate course. Puttapaga Sai Shree and Indira Tayeng for the Integrated and Research programme respectively.
After the first 25 rounds of the 45 rounds of counting, the ASA-SFI-DSU-TSF alliance members started celebrating in full swing, by the time they got to the 45th round, the campus had erupted in song, slogan and dance. Despite it being late night, the party has only just begun for the winners and their supporters.
