JNU Elections: Numbers favour Left Unity, celebrations on hold till Sept 17

Even though the Delhi High Court has asked that the JNUSU election results be held till September 17, sources say that Aishe Ghosh from the SFI has won the President's post with 2313 votes. The ABVP and BAPSA candidates got 1128 and 1122 votes respectively. 

The Left Unity has swept the rest of the posts in the central panel as well - The Left's Saket Moon has one of the highest margins with a staggering 3365 votes for the post of the Vice President. Shruti Agnihotri from the ABVP has managed to get 1355 and third runner up, funnily enough was NOTA.

Satish Yadav from the Left Unity got 2518 votes and the ABVP'S Sabareesh PA came second with 1355 votes and Waseem RS from the BAPSA garnered 1232 votes. The Left's Md Danish from the Left won by the largest margin by 1787 votes. He got a total of 3295 votes while Sumanta Sahu got 1508 votes.

The official announcement of the results will be on September 17 but quiet celebrations already erupting.
