DMK leader Stalin demands CB-CID probe into NEET impersonation cases

MK Stalin, the DMK President demanded a CBI probe into the NEET impersonation cases since several other states are also reportedly involved in the scam. Acknowledging the fact that more than 50 persons were found impersonating, the political leader demanded an investigation into the matter. 

Reiterating that DMK has been steadfastly opposing NEET and wanted it to be abolished, the DMK leader pointed out there were reports of irregularities committed in NEET like impersonation, getting certificates through agents not only from the state but also from other states. He said the reports indicate fraud had been committed with the connivance of some officials and the rulers.

He blamed the state government and accused the CB-CID working under the state Government and hence justice would not be rendered in the case.

Responding to a question of shortage of doctors in Tiruvarur Medical college hospital the leader of opposition in the assembly said not only in Tiruvarur Medical college but all over the state there were vacancies of doctors. He alleged there were 19 vacancies in the maternity hospital in Tiruvarur and only 25% of sanctioned strength of doctors were working in other departments in the medical college, he added. He wanted the Government to fill all the vacancies of medical and para-medical staff in the hospital.

Explaining the purpose of his visit to Tiruvarur DMK leader said a memorial for former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi is proposed at Kattur near Tiruvarur, which would showcase exhibits explaining his life and works.
