As India waits with bated breath, for the Supreme Court to declare the Ayodhya land dispute verdict, Aligarh Muslim University Students' Union President Salman Imtiaz said that the students have always supported love and harmony and will do so today as well.

A student leader and Students' Union President, Mohammad Salman Imtiaz said that as the SC is set to announce the decision of the Babri Masjid Title Suit, the nation must maintain calm and stay at peace. "We strongly believe that justice will be delivered. In the interest of all citizens, it is essential to watch whatever Supreme Court has to say with cool mind and adhere to law and order directions," he said. "Students at Aligarh Muslim University will ensure that our historic traditions of peace and brotherhood are maintained. We have always stood for love, unity and brotherhood. We will continue to lead with example," he added.

The SC will deliver its verdict on the 69-year-old case between the Nimrohi Akhara, Sunni Waqf Board and Ram Lalla. Whatever be the decision it will definitely take us on to a new era. The state governments and it's police are on high alert to tackle any acts of violence whatsoever. Schools and colleges in UP will remain closed till Monday.
