The Jawaharlal Nehru University Student Union has written to the management to extend the date for blocking seats since candidates are facing a lot of issues with regard to admissions. The JNUSU has addressed the director of admissions in their letter and pointed out the different issues faced by the students from blocking seats to generating tokens.

The JNUSU has said that throughout the admission procedure the students have been facing one hurdle after another. The JNU admission website has allegedly not been functioning properly and it doesn't proceed to the next link. The letter said that the students keep getting directed to the same page over and over again.

Another point that the JNUSU has made is that students are unable to fill in the initial details necessary for paying the fees for their tokens to be generated. In some instances, the students are paying the fees but not receiving their tokens or date of admission. Some students were sent a mail asking them to try and regenerate the token number which further confused them.

The JNUSU President writes that there is no clarity on what details are needed from the documents that are to be uploaded. He writes that there is also no clarity about in what stage of the procedure the seat actually gets blocked.

The Union has asked the management to assign multiple respondents at the help desk, so the students can get the assistance they require.

Over the last few days, the JNUSU and other students have been complaining about the difficulties they have been facing with the admission procedure. However, they have received no response from the management.
