Thousands of kids studying at the Sri Siddaganga mutt schools and taking shelter at the mutt conducted a mass prayer in front of Gosala Swamy auditorium where the mortal remains of Sri Shivakumara Swami has been kept from 6 am onwards. The pontiff of the Siddaganga Mutt in Tumakuru, 111-year-old Shivakumar Swami, died on Monday after a prolonged illness and slow recovery

The emotional children paid their last respects by singing songs, which the seer used to teach them during mass prayer, and conducted prayer with tearful eyes.

Continuing with the Swamiji's tradition of providing food for kids and devotees, the mutt served chow-chow bath for morning breakfast.

In the afternoon, devotees who come to pay their last respects will be served with rice, sambar and moong dal payasam. Food arrangements have been made at 10 different places for the convenience of the public.
