Students of Model School in Lingapur village staged a protest and held a rasta roko demanding the removal of the school's principal. The students alleged that the principal, Anil, was harassing and creating a gap between them and the staff. The students also alleged that Anil was trying to lure them into Christianity.
The protest lasted for about an hour, which interrupted the traffic on the Luxettipet and Basara road. However, police reached the spot and assured the students that they would look into the matter, after which the students withdrew their protest.
SFI leader D Ranjith Kumar and other leaders also participated in the protest. He said the principal was working against the interests of the students and hence he should be transferred immediately.
