With the Indian Internet users in regional languages reaching a whopping 536 million, even surpassing the English users, the demand for content in their  regional languages is ever expanding.

In order to cater to this burgeoning demand, LawSkills.in, a self-learning online portal that enables users to learn law from experts, have launched their courses in regional languages including Tamil.

LawSkills which is part of Manupatra Edutech, is a one-of-a-kind education platform which started its operation in 2001. Known for creating a niche in online legal research in India, the website has an array of courses related to different laws for anyone interested in the law or for people in the profession.

"Our main aim is to educate people who are interested in the subject, be it lawyers or non-lawyers. By non-lawyers, I mean that for example, engineers or architects deal with Intellectual Property Right (IPR) pertaining to their design on a daily basis, so if they need to know more about IPR and matters related to it, they can just subscribe to our website," says Priyanka, the COO and Director of Manupatra Edutech.
"As part of our regional expansion, we have introduced nine courses in Tamil which includes audio courses that help the subscribers to learn on the go," Priyanka adds.

Those who wished to learn law and or different branches of it, just have to pay a minimum subscription fee. "The courses start from Rs 1,000 and the maximum it can get is up to Rs 8,000 and those who wish to learn from our experts just have to sign up with us. We have also made available a few free courses that are of contemporary relevance to give students an understanding of how we work " says Priyanka.
