JEE Advanced exam results announced, seat allocation to commence from June 15

The result of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2018 was announced on Sunday. A total of 155158, candidates appeared for the examination held on 20 May, 2018.

Based on the candidate's' performance, 18,138 made have been qualified in the examination. Mavuri Siva Krishna Manohar from Vijayawada city secured first rank in OBC category and stood at 5th place in All India Open category.

Similarly, K V R Hemant Kumar Chodipilli from Visakhapatnam secured 7th rank in open category. Over 29,000 candidates from Telugu speaking States Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region have appeared for the examination. Candidates from Andhra Pradesh region excelled in JEE Advanced examination and secured numerous ranks in various categories.

The seat allocation will commence from June 15. For the first time, JEE Advanced was held completely in the online mode. Selected ones will obtain admission into undergraduate courses, which will help in obtaining a bachelor's, integrated masters or bachelor-master dual degree in engineering, sciences or architecture.
