Odisha's Kamala Nehru Women's College site hacked: Picture of a joker posted on home page

Bhubaneswar's Kamala Nehru Women's College's website was hacked on Sunday evening. The website was taken down on Monday morning

The Website of Kamala Nehru Women's College, Bhubaneswar was hacked by unidentified sources on the evening of July 22.  


On the evening, the hacker had posted the image of a joker and stated that it was a 'security attack'. But the website had been taken down on Monday morning by the college authorities. On trying to open the url knwcbbsr.com, one gets to see the following error message. 


On the other hand, the college's authorities have lodged a complaint about this. "We have lodged a complaint with the police today. The miscreants haven't been identified. We're positive that the police will take a quick action against this soon," said principal Pradipta Kumar Mishra on Sunday.  “The higher authorities in our college will soon take action on the hacking incidence. We will also seek the help of Cyber security experts and police,” said the District Education Officer of Kamala Nehru Women’s College Rati Kanta Behera to orissapost.com


In the past couple of years, popular colleges in the country including IIT-K, UoH and IIIT-H made headlines for getting their websites hacked.
