ASU collaborates with BrainGain magazine to launch summer programs for students

Ranked no. 1 in the US for innovation, dedicated to accessibility and excellence, Arizona State University (ASU), has launched ASU’s Master Learners Academy for international high school students aged 15-18 years.
ASU has partnered with BrainGain Magazine, the world’s leading higher education and study abroad magazine, to invite applications for two separate programs that they have launched this year – The Art of Invention Summer Program which will take place from June 2 – June 12, 2018 and the Robotics and Technology Summer Program which will take place from July 7 – July 17, 2018.
Both programs will be located on the Tempe campus near Phoenix, Arizona. Students who get accepted and attend the summer program will get a $2000 scholarship when they apply for an undergraduate course at Arizona State University. The deadline for accepting applications for the ASU’s Master Learners Academy is May 15, 2018.
The Art of Invention Summer Program provides students with a platform to create, try and imagine new ideas in unique week-long summer sessions. Students are introduced to building and prototyping using low-fidelity to rapid prototyping tools to make their ideas real.
The Robotic and Technology Summer Program is designed for students entering high school grades 9, 10, 11 and 12. The program will cover robot construction, visual programming, language programming, C# programming, web programming in service-oriented computing, phone app programming and a robotics challenge. The robots built by students will enter a robotics challenge and demonstration at the end of camp. Students will be awarded a certificate upon successful completion of the program.

ASU’s Master Learners Academy’s summer programs will also include workshops on interpersonal and leadership skills, the typical campus and American culture experience which will include the ASU campus tour, extra-curricular activities, and field trip excursions like a visit to Great Canyon, one of the seven wonders of the world and the opportunity to spend a weekend at the Tonto Creek Camp, an organization that provides youth opportunities to explore the natural world, giving them outdoor experiences that will enrich their physical and mental well-being.
