With the New Delhi's air choking smog, government is at its best to ensure the best measures for the public. But it is important that we initiate the care ourselves first, especially for the little ones!

#1 Shield them from the toxic air

It is very important to buy high-quality masks for the kids. For a simple reason that your kids have lungs that are still developing. The toxic air penetration should be avoided to help them grow to their full potential


#2 Not a good time to play

Educate your kids about pollution and its effects, tell them why it is not a good time to go out and play. Ask them to practise Yoga and breathing excercise on a daily basis. Try brain games and other indoor games to keep them engaged.

#3 Why 'NO' to school?

Ensure if the air quality is being monitored inside the campus. Unless, It is not safe to send your kids to school on a smoggy day, there are chances for you kids to get into breathing trouble and cough. Try talking to schools to get holidays on such cases, if its unavoidable use masks, mufflers, sweaters and skin care creams.

#4 For a better environment!

Use an indoor HEPA air filter for your home, specifically for your kid's bedroom. This would ensure 8-10 hours of sleeping time with cleaner air for them. There are some great options on the market with affordable prices. (Starting from 3K) . Ensure if those could remove PM 2.5 particles from the air.

#5 Kick start to minimal usage

Try to reduce usage of electronic devices that emits CFC. If possible download air quality checker apps to monitor hourly readings and even see forecasts for the next day.
