Dear Potterheads out there, I am going to tell you something that would make you feel old, very old. 20 years ago, JK Rowling released Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the very first Harry Potter book. Do you want to go back in time and be that teenager who delved into the world of Witchcraft and Wizardry for the first time? If you're in Chennai on Saturday, there is something that you wouldn't want to miss.
The British Council is celebrating the second decade of the book at its office and there are certainly a few things only muggles would want to miss, Let's have a look:
Through an interesting fan fiction competition, kids and adults would give us their versions of stories on how Harry recovered from the Battle of Hogwarts. (Now I would surely love to read them. What about you?). The competition was held in two categories: 9-16 and 17-30. The winners will be felicitated at the event.
Let's find out if you're a true pureblood wizard. Test your knowledge on Harry Potter at the quiz. Also, make sure to select the right Potterhead partner. Also, you get to listen to the theatrical reading of a scene from one of the books.
All of us wanted to create spells at some point in time. Let your creativity flow.
What is Harry Potter without magic? Magician Praveen will take you to the wizarding world with his magic show
So what are you waiting for! June 24 is the date. The programme begins at 3pm at the British Council Office, Chennai.
