Memes or 'challenges', social media has been proactive in either of the two during this lockdown period. If you are bored with the dares and are looking for something innovative sitting in the luxury of your homes, then all you need is to cook, click a picture, post it online with the required hashtags and your recipe could get featured in the Rotary Club of Madras Central's social media handle.
Quarantine Cooking Challenge is all about engaging people in some activity to break their stress and boredom. "Most of us may deny, but people are bored of being confined at home. The purpose of this challenge is not about participating, but enjoying and engaging in something interesting," says Meera Devi, president of Rotaract Club of Madras Central.
So, what is this challenge all about? "Anyone can cook something, click a picture or video and post it on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtags we have mentioned. The hashtag is mandatory because that helps us track their entry into this challenge. We will later share the posts on our official social media handle as well," explains the 25-year-old.
There is no age limit or restricted entries for this challenge. "You can post your entries daily or thrice a day, and it is your choice. The challenge is all about engaging youngsters and others in something interesting. Also, if you are interested, you can share the recipe of that dish too. However, it is not a compulsion," concludes Meera.
If you wish to participate in this challenge, cook something, click a pic and post it online with #QuarantineCookingChallenge.
