Being a victim of taboos associated with menstruation during her childhood, this 34-year-old engineering-graduate-turned-entrepreneur co-founded Menstrupedia comic. Menstrupedia provides a user-friendly guide to menstruation, hygiene and puberty and helps break myths associated with them. The aim of the website is to present this information in a culturally sensitive and an easy-to-understand way through digital media. The website contains various comic books, blogs, Q&A section and a learning section.
Falguni Nayar, Founder, Nykaa
As the popular proverb goes, 'Better late than never', Falguni Nayar started her multi-brand beauty retailer after serving 20 years as a venture investor and merchant with Kotak Mahindra. Nykaa began as an online retailer in April 2012 and opened its first physical retail store at T3 Terminal, Indira Gandhi International Airport in November 2015.
