Started from her own kitchen where she cooked the meals herself to now, launching her own store — Preeti Sinha and her start-up Greens & More has come a long way. Flagged off on December 5, this 1,070 square feet store is located in The Sky View, Madhapur, Hyderabad. It was Divija Commercial Properties who liked their concept and decided to work with Greens & More to cater to the millennial corporates they house, who have a one billion dollar average revenue. And because today's youngsters are conscious about what they eat, they zeroed in on Greens & More.

In the reverse
If you recall the Food Pyramid that we learnt about in school, carbohydrate-rich food always occupied the top slot because humans were involved in labour-intensive work. But today, we are all bound by our chairs and lead a sedentary lifestyle. Hence, they follow a reversed Food Pyramid. "So even if we are serving pasta, the pasta itself is made of wheat or quinoa," says the 38-year-old founder. Apart from this, expect an assortment of organic and farm-fresh fruits and vegetables like cranberries, kiwis and even sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Hence, you can customise your salads with your favourite ingredients to ensure that you meet the quota of consuming 400 grams of raw fruits and vegetables every day.
The decor and architecture of this 16-seater outlet were taken care of by Cinnamon Design Studio and executed by D&J Interiors. Five pairs of hands have been employed to handle their live salad counter and follow the cloud kitchen concept for other recipes. "An advantage is that we are situated right opposite a Starbucks so many curious foreigners are dropping by and actually relishing our salads," says a delighted Preeti. This store has been a significant achievement for the entrepreneur and, "makes me feel more confident about my enterprise," she adds.
Mission 2020
Quality is a priority, especially because of the fact that their salads are made from fresh and raw vegetables. This pushes up the prices, but from the response they have been receiving since day one, looks like people understand the worth, reasons Preeti. So the focus for 2020 will remain Hyderabad and it is only in 2021 that other cities like Bengaluru and Pune might get a chance to experience what Greens & More has to offer.
