Listen up innovators: Here's why Excel 2017 is the perfect platform to exhibit your talent

This year's edition of Excel, the tech fest spearheaded by Government Model Engineering College, Kochi, is setting up a platform for young innovators still in schools to present their ideas and ingenuity. IBeTO Junior, the school student segment of Innovation for Better Tomorrow (IBeTO) has called interested school goers who has a penchant for developing machines and mechanisms that can solve real life problems. Any school student studying in classes 8th and above can apply for the competition. 

The problem statements for this year’s IBeTo Jr are:-

• Revolutionizing road safety

• Innovations beneficial for the differently-abled.

• Providing easy educational access for all

• Betterment of general healthcare in rural areas

• Combat environment degradation with energy conservation techniques

Shortlisted ideas will get expert mentoring and an opportunity to be presented at Excel 2017. All completed projects will receive a certificate of completion and the best project will be awarded Rs 25,000. Excel 2017 representatives said the competition will reach out to more than 2000 schools across India this year. 

Interested student innovators are required fill in the details of their idea in the form provided in the official website http://www.ibeto.excelmec.org/juniors before 10th of July.
