Last year, the 75th year of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp was observed by the Fifth World Holocaust Forum in Jerusalem. It was at this horrific camp that over a million Jews died gruesome deaths, either by starving, gassed, worked to death or sacrificed for medical experimentation. It was in 1940 that this camp was established and within it, Polish civilians and Soviet prisoners of war among many others died. And even though the Holocaust is over, anti-semitism is still prevalent, as was evident when a few of the symbols that cropped up during the US Capitol riot were noted to be anti-sematic.

Hence, it is important to be aware of days like National Handwriting Day which falls on January 23 of every year. The joy of writing might be forgotten but it's a pleasure worth reuniting with. Even the Constitution of India was handwritten by calligrapher Prem Behari Narain Raizada and the book now rests safely in a special helium-filled case in the Indian Parliament Library.
So it's time for you to grab a pen and paper and jot down words to experience writing once again.
