Poetry, politics and metaphysics — is there anything that Aristotle did not write about? One guesses that it is from The Lyceum, the school in Athens that he, and many greats before him, had dolled out lessons, grooming young Athenians with their knowledge. To everyone's surprise, it was on January 13, 1997 that the remains of the school were discovered. Under a dirt car parking lot nonetheless! In some more irony, the remains were found while working on the construction of a new museum of modern art which was to come upon the same site and voilà, they instead discovered a central courtyard and a wrestling arena dating back to 2,400 years and beyond. Hey, here's a fun fact, Aristotle was the tutor of Alexander the Great!
Start of Starbucks in India
Thanks to American movies and books, Starbucks as a brand was already exalted in India too, long before it actually entered the Indian market. The entry was made possible due to the American chain of coffeehouses and roastery reserves' partnership with Tata Coffee, entailing to which the former decided to source coffee and explore the possibility of opening local retail stores. This happened on January 13, 2011. And the very next year on October 19, the first store came to be in Mumbai. What's your opinion of their premium beverages?
