Can you imagine having to attend a computer class minus the gadget in question? A young teacher in Ghana, Africa is being hailed as a hero after he shared a post of himself drawing a Microsoft Word Programme on the blackboard for his computing class. Fortunately for both Richard Appaiah Akoto and his students, the struggle need not continue much longer. Software giant Microsoft on Tuesday promised to send Akoto a computer and allow him access to its education material. The picture, posted around mid-February by Akoto, has garnered close to 2K shares on Facebook.

The move by the tech-giant came after entrepreneur Rebecca Enonchong tweeted to Microsoft Africa on Sunday about the teacher who was teaching his students about their product without actually using it. 

Surprisingly, this is not Akoto's first time teaching his students computing this way in a school that has had no computers since 2011. Teenagers are required to pass an information and communications technology (ICT) as part of their course to proceed to high school, according to Quartz Africa. "This is not my first time [of drawing] it. I have been doing it anytime I am in the classroom," Akoto told Quartz Africa.
