The Central Board of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court, claiming that it has excavated a 'bundle of bones' in connection with the Muzzafarpur shelter home case, and was going to verify the murder of 11 girls, allegedly done by key accused Brajesh Thakur and others.

The national investigating agency told the three-Judge bench, led by Chief Justice (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi, that it had recovered the bones, at the instance of a co-accused in the case.

Denying that it was trying to shield the high and mighty, CBI refuted the allegations that it its probe was mere an eye-wash.

The agency further claimed that it has chargesheeted those, who used to visit the Muzaffarpur Shelter Home and will file a supplementary charge sheet soon.
