An engineering student who had posted the pictures of an assistant professor from his college on adult sites and posted objectionable comments against the pictures was arrested by Rachakonda police. The accused is identified as Vangari Bhanu Prakash.
According to police, Vangari Bhanu Prakash(21) and his friend Akhil are studying in the same college. Akhil who is also a member of the college TedX team is suffering from breathing complications. On April 12, Akhil fell down in his class due to Hyperventilation. Knowing this, Prakash and his friend rushed to his aid and tried to provide first aid. But the victim, who is an assistant professor in the college, noticed them in the classroom and asked them to leave the classroom, as Prakash and his friends belonged to a different branch. Immediately the accused and his friends went to his classroom to provide first aid as directed by the doctors, in the meantime one of their faculty an assistant professor of the college asked them to clear and leave the classroom as they do not belong to her branch.
This lead to an argument between the accused, his friend and the assistant professor. As a result, he bore a grudge on her and wanted to take revenge on her.
Further, he collected her pictures from her Facebook account and posted them on adult sites, quoting her for available for Sex Chat, sharing nude pictures and intercourse, after which she received a number of calls from strangers asking her for sexual favours.
From one of the callers, she found her pictures were posted on adult sites and approached the police. Based on the IP addresses and the technical evidence, police traced Vangari Bhanu Prakash and arrested him and seized his mobile phone used for the offense.
