I am completing my class XII in the ISE stream. Computers, Math, Physics and Chemistry are my subjects. Kindly give me the details regarding pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics — where I should apply and whether it is an approved degree course. Please do offer your suggestions.
A bachelor’s degree in Statistics is an excellent stream to pursue and is approved by universities. After completion of your degree, you can choose to further specialise in Actuarial Sciences, Insurance and even Business Analytics. These are available at the master’s level across India. You could also explore pursuing an MBA in IT after the completion of your bachelor’s degree.

I am from the state of Tamil Nadu and I want to become a politician in the future. I want to understand whether a Biology student can study Political Science
or not. Kindly suggest.

You can study Political Science at the bachelor’s level and also at the master’s level. This area of study along with many other subjects like Public Administration, Psychology and Economics will help you do well as a politician. You can also consider writing the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exams and eventually, seek a career in the Indian Administrative Services.
