Education Minister S Suresh Kumar announced that the school fee structure will be announced in the next two days. Speaking to media persons at an event with teachers and parents organised in Shivamogga on Wednesday, Minister Suresh Kumar said there is a need to conserve the interest of both parents as well as the aided schools.

During this COVID-19 period, the economic crisis has crippled parents and similarly the situation and status of aided schools too. They are in bad shape, he said. The technical consultative committee has submitted its report last Tuesday and is yet to go through it.

The fee structure will be fixed in such a way that both parents and aided schools get some much-needed respite, he said. Responding to a question, the Minister said based on the suggestion given by the technical consultative committee the Classes 8, 9 and PUC I year students will begin.

Minister Suresh Kumar said a 45-day bridge course will be conducted during the first 45 days of the new academic year that would be the time when the teachers will be able to complete the undone syllabus for each class.
