Amazon, ITC, E&Y hunt for talent during placement at Jindal Global Business School

Placements and summer internship programmes at Jindal Global Business School (JGBS) are at an all-time high this year. The school has seen exceptional placement this year with entry of leading national and multinational companies visiting for campus placement.

Amazon is the first one to recruit students from JGBS this year with an offer of 16 lakhs for students. The other leading recruiters include ITC, Ernst and Young, HDFC Bank, HFFC, Genpact, Dyson, MC Saatchi, Brands of Desire, Pinnacle Connect and SalesEdge. 

JGU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr C Raj Kumar said “We are constantly working to create new opportunities to meet students' imaginations and cater to their career aspirations. JGU prides itself for facilitating a diversified range of professional opportunities to its graduates. These opportunities are not limited to corporates, but also include business enterprises, consultancy firms, investment banks, think tanks, research institutions, non-governmental organizations, intergovernmental organizations, government agencies and we will continue to focus on expanding this network. We expect several other domestic and international firms and institutions to hire from our future graduating batches.”

The summer internship programme also saw visits of many new companies like Bisleri International, Future Group, Honda Cars, IDBI, India Bulls, Karvy; HDFC Bank, Decathlon, Siemens Healthcare; Ernst & Young, Gati, FCB Ulka. The first year MBA and IBM students secured international summer internships in Mauritius and Singapore.

“What is interesting this year is the wide variety of domains that the students have been offered, they have got opportunity to work in the emerging of business process engineering, business analytics and social media analytics profile. Our partnership with IBM has helped in opening immense opportunities in the area of business analytics and preparing our students for Industry 4.0” said Dr Tapan Panda, Dean, JGBS.

Students have got leadership profile in emerging domains of sustainability. Brand strategy and consulting. The new curriculum and experiential learning used in the course helped the students to get coveted roles in marketing, branding, strategy, finance and key account management. The school has launched a special MBA program in Business Analytics and expecting more analytics companies to visit in future.
