UPDATE: Kejriwal finally meets the  GBPEC Professor who was on a fast for the past 25 days

Joshil K Abraham, the  GBPEC professor who was on a hunger strike for the past 25 days calls off the fast after the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal meets him

After 25 long days, GB Pant Engineering professor Joshil K Abraham calls off fast as CM Arvind Kejriwal meets him and promises to give the college its land back.

The professor had been fasting since April 4, after several tries to meet the CM failed. Ever since it's establishment,  the college has been functioning out of a hostel building as the government kept delaying construction plans. However, things began to go haywire, after another educational organisation, the Indraprastha Institute was allotted GB colleges land and began to construct on the same.

Abraham and his students found out that the land had been encroached and illegally handed over to Indraprastha. After months of protests and attempts to meet officials, the CM met the students and said he would take care of the matter on April 25 but did not turn forcing Abraham to continue his fast. But on April 29, Kejriwal met with Abraham and promised to conduct an inquiry into the matter, ensuring the professor that the 23 Acres land will rightfully be handed over to the college and the already constructed building of the Indraprastha Institute would also be handed over to GB Pant engineering college.

An overjoyed Abraham will now break his fast. In an earlier interview with Edex, Abraham said that there were three things that could happen to him after the land is alloted back to them- he would either get fired, get threats from the corrupted parties involved or they would just let him be.

After 25 days almost all his students refer to him as their hero more than their professor, with such strong backing lets hope Abraham gets to keep his job, continues to enlighten and fight for his students. Before ask this of course, he deserves a glass of water first!
