Podcasts are awesome. If you, like me, are late to the podcast party, then Pure Perception is a good place to start. "The main motto behind starting Pure Perception is to learn from other people's stories as I strongly believe that everyone has a story to tell and I love to learn from their experiences and share them on my platform so that it would be of help to others," explains Revanth Anupoju. But there is a larger purpose as to why the 23-year-old started podcasting. As a child, Revanth had a stutter. And with the help of podcasts, he wanted to deal with his shortcomings. Head on. 'If you want to create something, challenge your vulnerability,' said American-Belarusian entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk, who runs the podcast The GaryVee Audio Experience. These words served as a catalyst for Revanth who launched P2 Media in January 2020.

As many as 32 episodes with new episodes every Friday, Pure Perception remains true to the tenets it was founded upon, honest and free-wheeling conversation with achievers like a Metallurgy Engineer from Stanford University or a Physicist from MIT. "I would take feedback after every episode to assess my own progress. My articulation, confidence and even the quality of questions got better with time," says Revanth who was born and brought up in Hyderabad. P2 Media hopes to encourage other podcasters to discover themselves as well.

They have listeners in about 25 countries

"I believe we are but a drop in the mighty ocean that is podcasting, but we try to humanise our content and keep it simple and natural. It is personal and conversational and that, we believe, is our strength," says the youngster who is working full-time in the marketing firm Kantar. The 'we' Revanth is referring to is the three podcasts he hosts — Sunday Summaries, NBK and Telugollu. In fact, Telugollu is hosted by one of Revanth's listeners, Vamsi Krishna Surya, who approached him with a desire to host a podcast of his own. Thus, Telugollu was conceived, a Telugu podcast where Vamsi interacts with known names from the content creation space.

Via P2 Media, the entrepreneur, who pursued his BBA from the Indian Institute of Management and Commerce, doesn't just help record the episodes, which he does on anchor.fm, he also devises strategies to make the podcast hip and happening. So right from pre-production to sound effects, the theme song to editing, Revanth is indeed the go-to man if you have been thinking about starting your own podcast. The result? One of the podcasts he produces, NBK, was second on Chartable’s (a podcast ranking portal) list of Apple Podcasts India under the comedy fiction category a few weeks ago. With a cumulative listenership of 1,600, the whole plot for Revanth is to push Telugu content and make P2 Media a true powerhouse when it comes to podcast production.

Listen to these podcasts:
- Sunday Summaries: An English podcast run by Shireen Carolin where she presents a summary of one book every Sunday
- NBK: Written by Jaideep Kondepati and Bharath Parmalla, this Telugu podcast is a comedy fiction one
- Cinemaye Namaha: A Telugu podcast that will be starting soon will be discussing movies at length
