'Sweden Makes in India': IIM Indore to host Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz
Apart from Indore, the qualifying rounds will be held in Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Guwahati, and New Delhi


The celebration is being organised by the Swedish Embassy and partner companies to enhance the image of Sweden in India
The first qualifying round of the Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2017 is all set to take place at the Indian Institute of Management, Indore on August 2, an official statement said on Wednesday. The 11-city inter-collegiate quiz competition is part of the 11th edition of the Sweden India Nobel Memorial Week, organised by the Swedish Embassy and partner companies to enhance the image of Sweden in India.
Instituted in memory of Swedish innovator, entrepreneur and philanthropist Alfred Nobel, the week comprises of many events ranging from seminars and panel discussions to competitions for students and cultural performances. The theme also includes sustainability and innovation. Spread over a couple of months, the celebrations will be showcasing the contributions, in terms of knowledge and innovation, of Swedish companies to the country and have, therefore, been titled as "Sweden Makes in India".
The Indian students will compete in the regional rounds and the winning team from each city will qualify for the grand finale which will take place in New Delhi in October. Apart from Indore, the qualifying rounds will be held in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and New Delhi. The national quiz champions will win a trip to Sweden, where they will visit headquarters of the partnering companies, Swedish universities and the Nobel Museum.
