Odisha Governor and Chancellor of Fakir Mohan University S C Jamir today appointed Madhumita Das as the Vice Chancellor of the varsity for a period of three years, a statement issued by Raj Bhavan said. Das's appointment at the University in Balasore will come into effect from the date she assumes office or until further orders are given. At present, Das is working as Professor of the Department of Geology at Utkal University. She has 37 years of teaching experience and has authored three books, in addition to publishing 120 research publications in national and international journals.
