Harry Potter returns for a 10-year HBO spectacle, and here's some news for you!

The new HBO series will span 10 years, with each of JK Rowling’s seven books getting its own season, which means more magic and more time at Hogwarts!

When will it air in India? While originally set for 2026, HBO has now confirmed a 2027 release, so Indian viewers can expect it on JioCinema (Warner Bros Discovery’s Indian partner) or via Max (when launched in India). The trailer is likely to be released in 2026.

Who's behind the magic? Francesca Gardiner is the showrunner and writer, joined by director Mark Mylod. Rowling is on board as Executive Producer, ensuring it stays true to the books.
