Manu Bhaker won bronze medals in the 10m air pistol and 10m pistol mixed team events at the Paris Olympics, making her the first athlete to win multiple medals in a single games after independence

Harmanpreet Singh led India to her second successive Olympic bronze in men's hockey earlier this year.

D Gukesh became the world's youngest classical chess champion in December, defeating China's Ding Liren.

Praveen Kumar won gold in the High Jump T 64 event at the Paris Olympics.

The athletes will be conferred with the Khel Ratna Medals by President Droupadi Murmu on January 17.
