The 86-year-old Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, passed away late Wednesday night, October 9.
An exemplary individual with a dynamic career, Tata studied architecture and engineering at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, and was awarded a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree in 1962.
After joining the board of Tata Sons in 1974, he completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 1975.
Under his leadership, the Tata Group's business expanded without bounds.
He once said, "I don't believe in taking the right decisions, I take decisions and then make them right."
But did you know apart from acquiring major companies Tata also invested in several successful Indian startups.
Some of the companies are Ola, Ola Electric, Paytm Mall, Lenskart, UrbanCompany and several others.
Additionally, some of his philanthropic ventures include DogSpot.in, an online platform for dog food products, and Goodfellows, a companionship service for senior citizens.
