EFLU VC says his colleague used his name in 'plagiarised articles' without asking him; co-author admits to doing it because she was in a 'hurry'
The EFLU VC has said that he has been falsely implicated, Osmania professor agrees but denies she copy-pasted paras from different author
In response to the allegations of plagiarism, English and Foreign Languages University VC E Suresh Kumar has said to The New Indian Express that his name was used in the research articles without his approval. Suresh Kumar had been mentioned as the co-author of three articles along with Osmania University professor N Prathyusha.
The two worked together at Osmania University around the same time that the papers were published. Suresh said Prathyusha had taken his name without his permission, "I have been falsely implicated."
The Osmania professor agreed that Suresh Kumar had no knowledge of his name being used in the articles and said she had been in a "hurry" to submit her papers, "Sir (Suresh Kumar) had nothing to do with any of this."
However, Prathyusha denied that she had lifted off paragraphs from another paper authored by Nadia Wehbe which was published on a website called www.babyarabia.come. Interestingly, all three papers were published in 2016.
