Not everyone fits into the traditional school model, and internet-based learning provides another way for us to meet the diverse and often unique needs of students. Saurabh Shukla has been educating youngsters using this motto, and it’s all done free of cost. The educator offers video lectures on programming languages through his YouTube channel, C++ by Saurabh Shukla Sir. Making it his mission to provide subject-related videos on a daily basis, Saurabh has successfully been able to reach thousands of students across the country.

Saurabh’s YouTube channel has gained popularity, not through ads or marketing, but just by word of mouth. Currently running five YouTube channels, Saurabh now has more than 1.3 lakh subscribers, collectively, after publishing a mere 700 videos.

My philosophy is, first take a decision from the heart and then put your efforts to prove your decision right

Saurabh Shukla, Founder of MySirG.com

Saurabh was yet another victim of a poor education system. With a weak command of the English language, financial crisis in the family, and the lack of career guidance — his future was in deep trouble. Fortunately, after meeting his coaching institute teacher, Saurabh was inspired to do something great with his life, as he decided to make a difference in the world of education. He went on to secure the sixth rank in the all-India MCA entrance exam in 2003.

“That was a big moment for me, giving me the self-confidence that I needed. I was an average student, but the faith my teacher had in me pushed me to face challenges in life, and I realised the importance of a teacher,” says Saurabh, on his road to success.

Cool school: His current video content is mostly helpful to engineering students, computer graduate students, Class 11 and 12 students, professionals or anyone who wants to learn the art of programming.

Becoming one of the most popular YouTube channels in the world that teach programming, his objective is to render his services to Hindi-speaking students. “Becoming number one is not my aim. I am living my passion, so I am successful,” he says. His website www.mysirg.com is now one of India’s top 6000 websites.
