The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has stayed the announcement of the NEET results until June 7, since no order has been passed on the pending petition challenging the exam.

The Court has issued an interim order directing CBSE to withhold the marks as no judgment has been passed on the petition that claims that the NEET exam was not conducted uniformly across the country.

While there have been protests and arguments against the exam for a while now, the exams took place as scheduled on May 7. However, the petitioners claim that not all states got the same question papers and that in some regional language question papers the questions were also tougher.

The petitioners have demanded a fresh set of exams where the question paper would be uniform for all languages and in all states. Since the order on this petition is impending, the Court has directed the CBSE to not release the results yet.

The NEET saga seems to find no end and continues to haunt student's lives with more twists and turns every few days. With their futures hanging in the balance, students worry for their medical seats.
