A first of its kind Peace University inaugurated in Pune

Dr Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, the first of its kind in India was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis in Pune. The inaugural ceremony was followed by a two-day ‘Global Summit Science and Spirituality for World Peace’ which focused on issues of national and international importance and how a different outlook towards education could solve many of them. 

On the sideline of the summit, MIT World Peace University honoured Elder D Todd Christofferson, with the Philosopher Saint Shri Dnyaneshwara World Peace Prize for his "noble mission of spreading the message of peace and harmony throughout the world”.


The event was graced by Dr Michael Nobel, Founder of Nobel Sustainability Trust; H H Dada J P  Vaswanji, Spiritual Guru, Sadhu Vaswani Mission, who was felicitated for “99 years of Selfless Contribution to Humanity”; Dr Vijay Bhatkar, Padma and chancellor, Nalanda University and Padma Vibhushan Shri Raghunath Mashelkar, former DG of CSIR. Reputed guests from the fields of Science, Technology, Music, Spirituality, and Education also graced this ceremony. 

The University offers various prominent courses including Global Degree Programs in the fields of Bachelor of Technology (B Tech), Economics, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master’s Program in Government (MPG).
